Notes: The first bass I ever owned was identical to this. I had it a very short time prior to my first "real" bass; my original Fender Precision. After I got my P-bass, I tore the frets off the Hagstrom to make it fretless and tried to refinish it, but ruined it. I don't know what happened to it afterwards. Recently, a friend of mine (Steve "Dude" Barr) tracked this one down and I bought it. I'll treat it better than I did the last one I had. It's a cool little bass from the late sixties. It's a short scale though, so it's not good for much. Hagstrom made the first commercially available 8 string basses in the late sixties also.
